Binghamton Suffers a Loss

September 24th, 2009 Posted in Uncategorized

Emanuel Mayben will not be playing for Binghamton in the 2009-10 season. His career is probably over, because he was arrested for dealing and possessing crack cocaine in New York state this week. The team’s coach, Kevin Broadus, sounded upset in interviews this week, saying that he did everything he could for the player. The team, with Mayben’s leadership, went to the NCAA Tournament for the first time ever and it was great pride. But Mayben has been arrested several times over the years and it sounds like the whole thing is just finished now. It’s also not sure how well the team is going  to be able to bounce back. It’s a smaller school with a lower budget compared to the other teams that usually hit the tournament. We’ll keep an eye on the story and see what happens.
