No Surprises in Rankings

The rankings for Women’s NCAA Basketball are always interesting, especially at this time of the year. We hardly even know which people are on the team, so many of the rankings are based on the coaches and also on the general reputation of the program. As normal, Connecticut is at the top of the pile, having won several national championships and getting far into the March Madness. Second, Louisville will be back in the hunt this year after a great season last time around as well. They have a strong program that will get them into the postseason most likely. Finally, Stanford is ranked number 3 at the moment with some interesting changes since last year. It’s tough for college teams each year, because they can’t hold a core set of players at all because they graduate eventually. But the women’s teams are still fun to watch because they aren’t under the same scrutiny that the men’s sometimes are.
