Memphis Loses

Memphis lost their 2008 season yesterday. Their Final Four appearance, their record, all those things. Taken away. The team apparently didn’t follow regulations regarding Derrick Rose, their star player of that year. He apparently cheated on a test to get admitted to the school and his brother got some kind of disallowed thing. It’s a sad situation for them and they will be appealing the decision at this point because they believe they did their due diligence during the affair. It’s improbable that the NCAA will walk it back. Anyway, it’s important information and it’s a big warning to teams in the NCAA that they should make sure not to get involved in any of that kind of thing.
