More Trouble

The recent rush of lawsuits against the NCAA has served to bring up some of the most major problems in the NCAA sports world. The main one is an anti-trust based lawsuit that highlights the great difference between what college athletes get and what others get. This is one of the biggest questions in the sport. College athletes are unable to profit from their playing and their images. This is supposed to help preserve the integrity of the sport and keep them in their learning environment. It also means that the schools and the organization gets a lot of profit out of them and can’t give them a cut. The growing commerce involved becomes more difficult to balance the whole system as it has been up until now. They will have to change some of these policies somehow and it will be interesting to see what they improve upon.
