NCAA Give Penalties

May 8th, 2009 Posted in Uncategorized

The NCAA has rules about the level of academic achievement a set of players must have. There are clear indications of how much it’s supposed to be by their meters. But this isn’t usually a big deal. The players may not be Einstein, but they know that they have to work hard to keep playing. Well for one of the first times in NCAA history, the organization has put forward some playoff bans for the upcoming schoolyear. For several of them, it’s not so important because the teams affected aren’t in danger of going to the postseason. But some of them are and they are none too happy about the issue. There haven’t been all that many statements put out about it, but it’s going to be interesting to see what happens ultimately and whether the penalties make a difference in the end.
