High Tar Heels

The North Carolina Tar Heels won the national championship of the NCAA last night. This is a team that we’ve been watching closely since the beginning of the season. They were early favorites and flagged a little bit in the middle, but then were able to become a major factor again. North Carolina is one of the most talented teams in the nation and were able to hold of the Michigan State Spartans. Michigan St. had an amazing run, having taken out two #1 teams in the tournament, including the UConn Huskies in the Final Four. But Michigan State wasn’t as talented a team as they were simply determined. They battled it out hard. But in the championship game, North Carolina jumped out to a lead of more than 20 early in the game and never looked back winning 89-72. The Michigan St heavy crowd was out of the game early. Congrats to both teams on fun seasons though!
