The New Penn State

Perhaps where the Penn State football team left off this year ( a sad, disappointing loss to the Trojans), their counterpart basketball team can pick up the slack. Off to an impressive 13-3 start, the Nittany Lions basketball team may be finally emerging from the large shadows overcast by the football program. This past Tuesday, the Nittany Lions offed number 14 Purdue to earn their 13th victory. That, compounded with their victory over Georgia Tech in the early stages of the season, may give them some national notice and perhaps, just perhaps, a top 25 ranking. They need to show, however, that they can play consistently.
