It’s not necessarily news (as it happened back in March) but Alaska Anchorage’s men’s basketball team has brought in some fire power from the “down under.” The Seawolves of Anchorage have added to their roster the combined talents of Chris Neal (junior guard/forward) and Steve White (freshman guard), both hailing from Sidney.

Neil, 6-5 and 210 pounds, transferred to Alaska after playing two years at San Diego Christian College. While there he averaged 15.7 points and 5.5 rebounds per game during his 2007-2008 season. He was a consistent three-point shooter and has a game high of 38 points. White, a six-foot guard, had an incredible high school career averaging 24.5 points, 5.2 assists, and 5.6 rebounds during his senior year.

Head coach Rusty Osborne is confident that this dyad will make powerful contributions to the Seawolves squad in the 2008-2009 season.
