The Iowa State University basketball coach received the shock of his life when he was contacted over the phone by brother of Wesley Johnson in the Cyclone team, Craig Carroll, stating that his brother has decided to transfer from the Cyclones team. The coach Mc Dermott had high hopes of playing Johnson in the NCAA championships next season and said that he would not discuss about the matter anymore. Mc Dermot said that Johnson would have already thought about it before declaring it and there is no use talking to him and trying to persuade him to reverse his decision. Mc Dermot said that he was disappointed with Johnson’s shock exit from the team but is committed to direct his players to bring in laurels for ISU.
