Stepheson release from UNC certain

The North Carolina forward Alex Stepheson has been given transfer from the University of North Carolina and will move closer to his hometown in California. Stephenson has cited family problems to be one of the reasons for his transfer and he in fact had to go back home to spent sometime with his sick father during the past season. Stephenson said that he had thoroughly enjoyed the two years that he has spent as a Tar Heel and showered praises for the team, management and coaches of North Carolina. He also utilized this opportunity to thank the UNC fans for all the back-up and encouragement they gave him during his tenure at the University.
