Kansas City wins the NCAA title
May 12th, 2008 Posted in ncaa
Kansas City pulled off a 75-68 remarkable victory over Memphis last Monday night to claim the NCAA championship for the first time in 20 years. The match was extended into extra time courtesy of Chalmer who shot a three pointer with only 2.1 sec remaining of the regulation time. Kansas coach was very much excited for his team and Bill Self said that the shot by Chalmer to take the match to extra time can be rated as the best ever three pointer in Kansas history. Memphis team, who have received rare reviews for their team work this year, were a dejected lot as they slipped off the golden opportunity of winning the NCAA basketball championships by missing four to five free throws during the game.
