Dawkins takes over as coach of Cardinal’s

The Cardinal’s new coach Johnny Dawkins was formally introduced by Stanford school as their new coach and he would be replacing, Trent Johnson, the current Pac-10 Coach of the year. The 44 year old Johnny said that he was pretty excited about taking over as coach of the famed Stanford basketball team and expected to do something special with the team. Dawkins, in his address at the Stanford school, said that the program will only work if it gets the full co-operation of the players as well as the working staff.
The Stanford team will be the first team that Dawkins will be the head coach off and as a player Johnny has played in nine NBA seasons and also was a first round NBA draft pick. Dawkins had received good reviews as a player and the Stanford fans are expecting that he will do all that is needed to take the team to a commendable position in the NCAA tournament this season.
