Tyreke Evans, an outstanding high school basketball player who is rated fourth in the country, has called for an announcement and said that he is committed to play at the University of Memphis but has yet to sign any official letters unless John Calipari puts down his own signature as well. John Vincent Calipari is the men’s basketball head coach at the University of Memphis and whether he makes his own pact with Evans, this will greatly influence the American Christian Academy’s student’s choice.
Previously, Evans was undecided and has yet to choose between joining Memphis, Villanova or Texas but now it is clear that he is leaning more towards Memphis. Derrick Rose, who went pro, might have a hand in influencing Evans’ choice as well. Evans added that he was impressed and happy that Calipari showed great determination in acquiring his expertise for the Memphis Tigers. He even visited Evans’ home and presented an eight-step plan created specially for Evans.
