Celtics wins the last game of their road trip
February 27th, 2008 Posted in basketballThe Boston Celtics took on the Los Angeles Clippers in the last game of their current road trip last Monday and beat the Clippers convincingly 104 – 76. The Celtics in their five match road trip have a record of 2 – 3, by losing the first three matches to Denver, Phoenix and Golden State and winning their last two matches against Portland and now the Clippers. The Celtics, who have an overall track record of 43 wins to 12 losses in the NBA, did not have any trouble beating the injury ridden Clippers team.
The offensive lineup of Paul Pierce, Allen and James Posey did the damage for the Los Angeles Clippers with a total of 49 points among them. Boston Celtics coach Doc Rivers lauded the efforts of his team and said that his team played the match in a professional way despite the opposition playing a weak team as many of their top players are injured. He appreciated the players for winning the last road trip match before heading home. Kevin Garnett who played for 24 minutes for the Boston Celtics, stole the show with 11 points, four assists and six rebounds. The 28 point victory by the Boston Celtics is by far the best win they have achieved against the Clippers in Los Angeles.
