Victory Slips out of Drakes Hands
February 20th, 2008 Posted in ncaa basketballThe first home loss of the Drakes happened when Jeremy Crouch of the Bradley’s hit a jumper to give Braves the victory for a score of 72-71when only 11seconds of the game was left.. This was an unexpected defeat for Drakes who were doing well in this season. Crouch is the player of the day by scoring 23points and the Drakes were unable to score on the last five minutes of the match. Keno Davis the coach of Drake feels that Crouch was given some great looks by Drakes which should have been avoided.
Early in the second half of the game Drakes were having 13 points lead, but the Bradley’s took over the lead later with Crouch’s effort. Klayton Korver missed an open chance and Josh Young’s shot was wasted by hitting the rim. The crowd who were expecting the Drakes to win was startled by the victory of Bradley’s. Korver later said that Bradley’s deserves the win as they have outplayed his team. Bradley at last had a victory against a ranked team after 1985. Drakes couldn’t do much as Bradley’s did all their attack at the far end of the game.
