Duke is on the Loose
February 8th, 2008 Posted in UncategorizedDuke is having a great year so far having won nine straight games so far. At present, they are 19-1. They are forcing turnovers of the ball and some of the teams haven’t accomplished that yet. They score an average of twenty two points off turnovers. They are still working on getting their strategies down and coming up with other insights to keep the ball in their court. Duke so far in ranked around sixth in the league for steals during the game. They are also seventh in the defensive rebounds. They average three in the rebounding margins. Duke gets about 13 offensive rebounds a game. They are also allowing fewer offensive rebounds in every game they play.
Duke hasn’t played Carolina either since March of 2001. When they played against each other, they were both ranked in the top five teams. Duke is hoping to beat Carolina this time without hesitation. They have been planning for this for almost seven years. They feel they are ready to take on the Carolina team. They will sometimes go back and watch the game to see what went wrong. Maybe they didn’t get enough rebounds, or they missed some shots, or they didn’t get the extra foul shots they needed. Whatever it was, the coach and the team will review the tapes and see if they can come up with a great defense for this season.
