The first few weeks of the basketball season is giving the fans something to talk about. The biggest question on everyone’s mind is “which team is going to come out on top?” Die-hard fans are certainly going to stick with their favorite teams but the support may not be enough to bring some of the teams up to their full playing potential. Another determining factor may also be the multiple injuries already on the board for some key players. Gilbert Arenas has already been side-lined for a serious knee injury and may not see any on-court time for 2008 which may put the Washington Wizards in a bad position. The Toronto Raptors have replaced T.J. Ford with Jose Caldron after Ford was injured in the face during a December 2007 game. The injury took place after Horford hit Ford in the face with his hand. Horford was charged with a flagrant foul attempt and charged with a one game suspension. Ford is already cleared to return to team training. What happens to the Toronto Raptors now will depend on his ability to return to the game. This 2008 season should prove to be some exciting basketball action at the very least.
