New Hall Of Famers From Gary
December 4th, 2007 Posted in basketball, ncaa, ncaa basketball, players, teams2 basketball players from Gary were named to the Silver Anniversary team for the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame. Tellis Frank is one of them. A Lew Wallace graduate played at Western Kentucky and was later a Number One selection for the Golden State Warriors. The second player is Winston Garland. Winston is a Roosevelt graduate who played on the Panthers’ team. Tellis Frank’s coach at Lew Wallace Earl Smith, called Frank an “exceptional basketball player.”
