Gillispie’s second game at Kentucky turned out to be the 1st shocker of the NCAA basketball season. Gardner-Webb out of the Boiling Springs, North Carolina, has toppled the twentieth-ranked Wildcats 84-68 in the 2K Sports College Hoops Classic. He raced out to a 14-0 lead and Kentucky never got within 7. The Mid-Major finished 9-and-21 last season and tied for seventh in the Atlantic Sun Conference, will play today’s Buffalo-Connecticut winner in Madison Square Garden.
